The Emporia High girls golf team is heading back to state.
Emporia High finished fourth as a team with a score of 429. Seaman claimed the regional championship, followed by Andover and Shawnee Heights.
Two Lady Spartans placed in the top 10. Sophomore Elise Eckert finished third with an 82. Senior Ella Fessler shot a 93 to finish seventh.
Senior Nicole Dalton finished 15th with a 103. Freshman Kelsey Shull finished 44th with a 153.
Eckert and Fessler will be making return trips to state, while it’ll be the first for both Dalton and Shull.
The Class 5A State Tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday at Carey Park in Hutchinson.
