A new sport offered at Emporia High began its season Tuesday.
Emporia High’s Unified Bowling program sent two teams to a meet in Lawrence.
The team of Drake Lutes, Sammie Dubree, Colton Swift, and Nate Green finished fifth. The team of Hayden Williams, Desse Graddick, Angela Alvarado, Hayden Thexton, and Taylor McKay finished seventh.
This is the third year that the Kansas High School Activities Association has offered the sport partnering with Special Olympics Kansas.
