Trial begins its first full day Tuesday in the Logan Casteel attempted murder case in Lyon County District Court.
Tuesday morning was spent in jury selection, followed by opening arguments and the start of testimony shortly after lunch.
Casteel is accused of shooting Justin Smith during an incident just southwest of Emporia almost a year ago. He’s accused of one count of attempted murder. Trial could last all week.
