The Emporia High cross country teams competed in the Centennial League Championships Saturday in Topeka.
The Emporia High girls finished fourth with 78 points finishing behind Washburn Rural, Manhattan and Junction City.
Freshman Madison Evans finished seventh with a time of 19:09.4 and was named a first-team All-Centennial League pick.
Freshman Emma Beatty finished 12th with a time of 20:03. Senior Micah Sheffy-Harris finished 16th with a time of 20:06.2.
The Emporia High boys finished fifth with 110 points. The Spartans finished in a tie for fourth but Hayden had the tiebreaker over Emporia High.
Junior Daghyn True took second individually with a time of 15:51.6. True was also named a first-team All-Centennial League pick.
Gideon Lowery finished 17th with a time of 16:49.7.
Emporia High will travel to Brown Thrush Park in Wichita for its regional next Saturday. The top three teams along with a possibility of additional runners will qualify for state to be held at Rim Rock Park in Lawrence on Oct. 28.
