Distribution of funds will take several forms at the Lyon County Commission’s weekly meeting Thursday.
Commissioners may approve nearly $300,000 in local matching funds for Lyon County Area Transportation’s fiscal 2025 operations. This would match funds from the state. Another agenda item involving LCAT deals with approving a certification of local funding sources for operations and administrative assistance, as well as authorizing Director Shane Brunner’s signature authority for submitting grants.
In other business, County Engineer Chip Woods will present a roughly $12,000 bid for a new mini-excavator engine, as well as separate requests for proposals involving structural steel beams and galvanized bridge plank materials.
Facilities representative Robbie Weiss will present a request for the annual fire alarm test and inspection process through Tech Electronics for the Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, Law Enforcement Center, Anderson Building and Bowyer Building. The estimated cost is around $13,000.
Commissioners will also get a quarterly report from CareArc and have two executive sessions.
The meeting is at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
