Two Emporians were hospitalized after a crash northeast of Topeka on Thursday.
The crash happened shortly after 7 pm near the junction of Kansas Highway 4 and US Highway 24. The Kansas Highway patrol says 64-year-old Rigoberto Vega-Bedolla was westbound on K-4 when his SUV hit a deer.
Both Vega-Bedolla and 59-year-old Martha Vega were taken to Stormont-Vail in Topeka with suspected minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
