Chase County residents were able to get creative with their wardrobe during the annual Black Tie Affair in Strong City this weekend.
The event, put on by the Strong City Preservation Alliance, was held at St. Anthony’s Hall Saturday night. In addition to dinner and drinks the event also included live entertainment, a live auction, 50/50 drawings and raffle prizes.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to support the alliance’s mission of preservation and restoration of historic buildings within the community. One of the more notable projects has been the restoration of the historic 1900 Theatre which Lauer says has seen a tremendous amount of work over the past several years and the Black Tie Affair has played a significant role in that progress.
Fundraising totals from the Black Tie Affair will be announced at a later time. For more information on the Strong City Preservation Alliance find them on Facebook.
