The sectional round of the high school football playoffs is Friday night.
Two area teams will be carried as part of our Area Game of the Week postseason coverage.
In 8-Man Division I, Chase County is set to host Cair Paravel. The Bulldogs look to avenge a 52-16 loss to the Lions back on October 13 in district play. Cair Paravel is 8-2 and has won six straight, while Chase County is 7-3 and has won three straight, including an upset over previously undefeated Moundridge in the regional round.
Chase County coach Derick Budke says a fast start and forcing a turnover early will be the key to success.
Kickoff from Cottonwood Falls is set for 7 p.m. Pregame coverage begins around 6:35 p.m. on Country 101.7 FM.
In Class 1A, Olpe will travel to Winchester to take on Jefferson County North.
Olpe is 8-2 and has won six straight while JCN is 9-1 and has won four straight.
Olpe coach Chris Schmidt says physicality and doing the little things right will be their key to getting back to the sub-state round.
