The Emporia State football team is headed to the Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl Saturday, December 2 following an 8-3 season. The Hornets finished tied for third in the MIAA after going 7-3 in league play and received votes in the final Top 25 coaches poll of the season. ESU will face Southern Nazarene on Saturday, December 2 in Corsicana, Tex. The Crimson Storm finished 6-5 this season and tied for fifth in the Great American Conference. It is E-State’s second bowl appearance at Corsicana; the game was previously known as the Corsicana Bowl. The Hornets previously defeated Arkansas-Monticello 30-22 in 2018. Head Coach Garin Higgins says getting back to the postseason is a reward for the program.

The Hornets are making their third-straight bowl appearance after going 1-1 in the last two Live United Bowls. Emporia State is making their ninth bowl appearance in program history and are 5-3 in previous bowl games. Higgins is 3-1 in four previous bowl appearances with the Hornets.
