Emporia’s waterline network has some issues again early Wednesday.
City Communications Manager Christine Torrens reported three water main breaks or leaks around 6:15 am. The breaks are in the 2800 block of Rio Vista and the intersection of 22nd and Prairie. Water service will likely be affected in those neighborhoods.
The leak is at the intersection of US Highway 50 and Prairie Street. The eastbound outside lane is closed until further notice for that project.
This follows a water main break in the 2900 block of Monterey Drive from Tuesday afternoon.
