Three Americus women were arrested in Osage County late Friday afternoon on suspicion of drug activity.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says an unspecified traffic violation led to a law enforcement traffic stop at Interstate 35 mile marker 164, near the Waverly exit, just after 4:45 pm Friday. Wells says illegal narcotics were found during the stop.
Jessica Estrada, age 27, was arrested on suspected distribution of methamphetamine. Renee Hamm, age 37, and Ashley Martin, age 33, were both arrested on suspected possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Hamm was also arrested for an illegal registration, while Martin was arrested for suspected possession of marijuana.
Formal charges are pending against all three women.
