Most of the KVOE listening area is now in a dense fog advisory.
Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties are in an advisory until 10 am. Chase and Greenwood counties are in a separate advisory until 11 am.
Fog has been thick areawide, with visibility under two blocks at the KVOE studios and as low as 0.125 miles at Reading.
If you encounter fog while driving, slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the driving distance between your vehicle and others nearby.

Foggy conditions are being noted areawide again Friday morning.
A dense fog advisory now affects Chase and Greenwood counties until 11 am. The National Weather Service expects visibility at a quarter-mile or less in spots during the alert.
Fog is also being noted in Emporia and other parts of the KVOE listening area Friday morning, following Saturday which had thick fog areawide almost all day. Visibility reports:
