The latest holiday concert at the Emporia Granada Theatre comes this weekend.
The Emporia Municipal Band performs its annual Christmas concert beginning at 3 pm Sunday. Director Nancy Riecker says there will be a mix of new and traditional holiday tunes for people to enjoy.
Riecker says this is the favorite concert of the year for a lot of band members, in part because of the location, in part because of the holiday ambience and in part because of the strong attendance every year.
The performance is free to attend, but donations are encouraged to support Friends of the City Band.
