Emporia Municipal Band serenades Granada Theatre audience with annual Christmas concert

With great fanfare, the Emporia Municipal Band played its annual Christmas concert Sunday.

From the Radetzky March, heard here, to favorites like Sleigh Ride, the band entertained a big crowd at the Emporia Granada Theatre for about an hour.

The Municipal Band’s regular 2024 season begins with its traditional performance at Emporia’s annual Memorial Day service, followed by its summer performances Thursday evenings at Fremont Park.

Up next for the Granada is Jamie O’Neal’s Spirit & Joy Christmas Show this upcoming Saturday. Tickets are available. O’Neal will be on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment at 8:45 am Tuesday.
