Flint Hills Technical College has received a substantial grant allocation.
FHTC announced Wednesday afternoon it has been made a recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation that will be used to provide financial assistance programs for students “pursuing careers in manufacturing-based fields.” A news release from the college Wednesday says, “The Gene Haas Foundation’s support extends beyond financial aid, encompassing initiatives such as sponsoring CNC competitions and collaborating with premier CNC training programs worldwide. This partnership ensures that FHTC can continue to offer high-quality manufacturing technology training, preparing students for the demands of an ever-evolving industry.”
The Gene Hass Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1999 by Haas Automation Inc. founder and owner Gene Haas. The foundation is dedicated to providing support to individuals looking to make a career in the manufacturing industry through various programs, scholarships and grant opportunities.
