Phases are getting started to restore the Kansas eCourt case management system.
Public Information Director Lisa Taylor says several district court systems could regain their case management systems by early in the week, if they haven’t already. The Eighth District, including Morris County, and the 13th District, including Greenwood County, were supposed to regain access this past Friday.
All other district court systems, including the Fifth — Lyon and Chase — and the Fourth — Coffey and Osage — should be up and running before Christmas.
Taylor says case events and documents may not initialy show up for several weeks after the temporary but significant foreign cyberattack Oct. 12.
The state’s eFiling system should be fully restored by the end of the year. The District Court Public Access Portal, used by the general public and the media, won’t come online until those two other sectors are stable.
