Emporia home sales saw an increase from last year.
Home sales went from 29 in November 2022 to 33 last month, which doesn’t sound like much — although it equates to a nearly 14 percent increase from a year ago. This also compares to 50 homes sold in November 2021
Median sale prices went from $130,000 to $145,000 year-to-year and the housing supply is now at 1.3 months.
Year-to-date, Emporia has had 383 homes change hands through November. Last year had 438. 2021 had 486.
Lyon County, meanwhile, had 30 homes sold last month, up from 22 in November 2022. Median sale prices also went up — from $124,000 to over $160,000. The home supply in greater Lyon County is slightly smaller than Emporia’s at one month.
So far this year, greater Lyon County has had 331 home sales, down from 382 last year and 408 in 2021.
