The Kansas Court System says its District Court Public Access Portal is finally accessible to all. And that’s true…to a point.
The portal and other features of the state’s online court information have been down since a foreign cyberattack Oct. 12.
While the system may be available, there are still some issues. Information is outdated if cases developed or had updates since the cyberattack. Wednesday morning also saw system errors in the process of checking on any local cases.
The cyberattack essentially shut down the state’s entire court system. Access to the case management system has been restored for all area counties and may be fully restored across the state soon. Word on restoring the eFiling system is pending but that system should be available again soon. The online payment process has been restored, although payments processed on and after Oct. 12 may not immediately show up in that portal.
