An in-district showdown is set for the first Area Game of the Week of 2024 on Friday as Olpe travels to Hartford.
The Olpe girls are 6-1, 3-0 in the Lyon County League and have won six straight while Hartford has won its last two games and is 5-3 and 2-1 in the LCL. Olpe girls coach Ron Slaymaker said the Lady Eagles need to depend on their defense and turn it into offense.
The boys’ game features Olpe, who is 6-1 and 3-0 in league play while Hartford is 6-2 and 2-1 in LCL play. Hartford boys coach Colten Barrett said the Jaguars need to stick with the game plan.
