Six area high school basketball teams are ranked in the first KBCA rankings of 2024 released on Tuesday.
The Emporia High girls moved up a spot to No. 5 in 5A. The Lady Spartans are 6-1 heading into Friday’s game at Junction City The Olpe girls are ranked sixth in 1A-Division I with a 7-1 record. The Olpe boys are ranked third 1A-DI with a 7-1 record. The Lady Eagles and Eagles will host Madison on Friday in our Area Game of the Week. The Lebo girls are ranked No. 1 in 1A-Division II for the second time this season with a 6-1. The Lebo boys are ranked ninth with a 4-3 record. The Lady Wolves and Wolves travel to Madison Thursday for our Area Game of the Week that was moved from Tuesday due to weather. The Lyndon boys are ranked second in Class 2A with a 6-0 record. The Tigers will play a pair of games this week. Lyndon hosts Chase County in a rescheduled doubleheader from last Friday on Thursday and will host Northern Heights on Friday.
