Emporia State senior guard Alijah Comithier has been named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch list. The award is presented annually to the player that has the best season in small college basketball and includes players in NCAA Division II and III, NAIA Division I and II, the USCAA and the NCCAA. Comithier is the fifth leading scorer in the MIAA at 17.2 ppg and leads the Hornets with 5.6 rpg. He’s the active leader in career scoring in the MIAA and is second in the league in assist to turnover ratio. Past winners of the award from the MIAA include Justin Pitts in 2017 and Trevor Hudgins from 2022, both from Northwest Missouri. The list will be trimmed to 50 players in February. Danquez Dawsey and Jaden Wells of Central Oklahoma, Kaleb Hammeke from Fort Hays State, and Wes Dreamer of Northwest Missouri are also on the list.
