Osage City overcame a cold start against Lyndon to win their first Flint Hills League Shootout Championship since 2011, defeating Lyndon 47-29.
Both teams were unable to find rhythm early, as Osage City did not score until 1:30 to play in the first quarter, before leading 6-2 at the quarter break.
Osage City and Lyndon would trade blows in the second quarter with Osage City leading 16-15 at the half.
Lyndon scored the first bucket to begin the half, to lead 17-16, it would be their last time in the lead. Osage City ended the third on 17-4 run much in part to four 3-pointers.
Osage City finished the night 8/24 from beyond the arc, while Lyndon was only 1/7.
Emory Speece and Peyton Pitts led Osage City with 11 points. Lyndon, in their first ever shootout championship game, was led by Allie Kneisler with 12.

In the boys contest, Lyndon started off the game with 11-0 run and the Tigers never looked back winning 59-36.
Playing with an experienced team, including eight seniors, Lyndon became the first team to 3 peat as Shootout champions. It was their seventh overall championship .
Tanner Heckel led Lyndon with 21 points, with Kaiden Massey adding 14.
Osage City was led by 12 points from Kasen Parsons.
