Dense fog will be making its latest appearance in the local listening area Thursday night into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service has placed Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties into a dense fog advisory from 6 pm Thursday until noon Friday. Chase County is under a separate advisory Thursday evening also through noon Friday.
Fog could lead to reduced visibility for motorists up to a quarter mile or more in areas.
