Hope-A-Palooza is coming.
The annual fundraiser for SOS is set for March 29 at the Emporia Granada Theatre. On KVOE’s Talk of Emporia on Monday, Community Relations Director Cara Codney sys the event is always special, but it’s even more so this time because of CEO Connie Cahoone’s upcoming retirement.
Proceeds will go to the recently-created Connie Cahoone Legacy of Hope Fund as Cahoone, SOS’ CEO since 2012, retires in March. Cahoone says she has wanted to have a legacy fund for a while so SOS can address crisis needs well into the future.
Hope-A-Palooza begins at 5 pm for dinner and drinks. There will also be the live auction, awards to outstanding SOS volunteers and a performance by Joseph Hall’s Elvis Rock N Remember Tribute. Tickets are $20 for the show only or $75 for the full evening.
