A missing teenager from the immediate Olpe area was found safe after a nearly 40-minute search late Tuesday morning.
Lyon County deputies and Olpe Fire began searching around 11:20 am, finding the teenager southeast of Olpe just before noon.
Details about the child’s disappearance and discovery are currently pending.

Lyon County deputies and Olpe Fire are looking for a missing teenager from the immediate Olpe area.
Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope says the teenager is an Olpe fifth-grader. The child is listed as a white male, standing 5-foot-2-inches tall. Cope says he was wearing a black sweatshirt with yellow writing on the sleeves. He was also wearing dark-colored sweatpants.
