Proceedings are moving towards jury trial in an Emporia attempted murder and arson case.
The next hearing in the case against Donovan Williams is a trial status hearing March 13. Trial could start March 18 or April 8, and four days are currently set aside if trial begins as scheduled.
Williams is accused of throwing a homemade incendiary device into an apartment window at 825 Congress in April with people inside the dwelling at the time. He currently faces 11 total counts in Lyon County District Court, including one each of aggravated arson and attempted first-degree murder, as well as five counts of aggravated child endangerment, two of endangerment and two of criminal use of explosives.
