Emporia Fire Marshal Reason Bradford says a juvenile has been arrested after two damaging fires at an Emporia greenhouse last month.
Bradford says Emporia Fire worked with Emporia Police to arrest the juvenile on two counts of suspected arson after two fires at Moore’s Greenhouse outside Guion’s Showcase, with one fire Jan. 17 and the other Jan. 22. The juvenile is not being named. Word on formal charges is pending through the Lyon County Attorney’s Office.
Both fires caused significant damage to the greenhouse, with the second fire also damaging the exterior of Guion’s Showcase but not extending inside. Bradford says the Emporia Fire investigations have finished.
