Court proceedings are on hold for one of two defendants in a Lyon County fentanyl distribution case.
The process against Skylar Rose Creed has actually been on hold since October, according to Lyon County District Court and records through the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal. Creed failed to appear for a preliminary hearing last fall and no hearings have been posted to the portal.
Meanwhile, co-defendant Stephen Jennison accepted a plea agreement in October and was sentenced in December to one count of fentanyl possession. He received 18 months probation with an underlying two-year prison term, a year’s worth of postrelease supervision and 18 months’ worth of drug treatment.
Both had originally been accused of possessing up to 100 dosage units of fentanyl with intent to deliver after arrests in August by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Both were also accused of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jennison was also accused of interference with law enforcement.
