Emporia’s one and only drag superstar is heading home.
Emporia native and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 competitor Q will be making their return to Emporia for a combination drag show and watch party Friday night. The event will take place at the Emporia Granada Theatre and will feature performances from Q and several other special guests, the majority of whom are very familiar with Emporia, according to event organizer Orion Turner.
Turner says not only are these performers excited for the opportunity to support Q, they are also looking forward to being back in Emporia as the community has continuously welcomed them with open arms year after year.
In addition to the show, attendees will get to watch the latest episode of Drag Race with Q providing commentary throughout the screening. Tickets are still available and cost $15 for the balcony, $20 for the floor and $120 per person for a VIP experience that includes a meet and greet with Q and more.
The event will begin at 7 pm with all proceeds going to support Emporia’s annual Pride Month festivities in June. For tickets or more information visit H2EFest.org.
