USD 417 Morris County is in the process of interviewing superintendent candidates.
The board interviewed Rhonda Frakes on Wednesday, following that with an interview involving Tyson Eslinger on Thursday. As was the case for Frakes on Wednesday, there will be a public reception at the district office from 4:30-5 pm Thursday for Eslinger.
A third candidate is tentatively set to interview next week. That candidate’s name has not been divulged.
A decision timetable is pending.
The new superintendent will replace Aron Dody, who separated from the district after serving USD 417 since 2018. Dody came under scrutiny last year after alleged mishandling of COVID-19 relief funds, an accusation which he says was grounded in a personal conflict instead of any violations.
