Sentencing is coming late next month in an Emporia drug distribution case.
During a hearing in Lyon County District Court Friday, 20-year-old Caden Hunt pleaded no contest to charges of cocaine distribution. Hunt originally faced 16 charges mainly revolving around the alleged distribution of cocaine, LSD, marijuana, cannabinoids and psilocybin but also including the use of a cell phone and social media apps to make transactions following his arrest in late November.
Hunt’s arrest followed a nearly month-long investigation by Emporia Police that included a search of Emporia State’s Sigma Tau Gamma house. The fraternity dismissed Hunt as a member shortly after his arrest.
Sentencing will take place on March 29.
