The state’s first Presidential Preference Primary in about 30 years is now a month away.
Residents wanting to cast their ballots need to make sure they are registered to vote. If they aren’t, or if registrations need adjustments, the deadline to do so is the close of business Tuesday — which is is also the deadline to request a mail ballot. Those will go out to voters Feb. 28.
Lyon County Election Officer Tammy Vopat says activity is picking up in her office leading into the election next month.
