An Alma man is dead following a vehicle crash in Wabaunsee County early Monday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2006 Ford Focus driven by 51-year-old Jerry Anstey of Alma was traveling northbound at Kansas Highway 99 mile marker 164 around 5:50 am when the vehicle left the roadway for unlisted reasons. The vehicle overcorrected, re-entered the roadway, crossed the center line and exited the roadway again to the left striking a rock embankment.
The vehicle then overturned and ejected Anstey from the cab. Anstey died as a result of his injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
