Emporia Fire officials say a vehicle was destroyed by a fire that developed southeast of Emporia on Tuesday.
Battalion Chief Eron Steinlage says Emporia Fire was dispatched to the 1500 block of Road P around 12:30 pm. A work pickup was involved. Firefighters got the fire out quickly with no reports of injuries.
The cause is currently undetermined.
The call initially indicated a structure fire, but Fire Capt. Michael Nunley says the damage was limited to the truck.
