USD 417 Morris County has its next superintendent.
Board members chose USD 216 Deerfield superintendent Tyson Eslinger after a special meeting Thursday. Eslinger has been Deerfield’s superintendent since 2020 and has “broad educational experience as a teacher, administrator and an educator of educators,” according to a news release from USD 417.
Board President TinaRae Scott says Eslinger emerged as the leading candidate after a “very thorough search process.” Scott says the board is “confident that under his leadership, USD 417 will continue to be recognized as an outstanding school district.”
Eslinger replaces Aron Dody, who separated from USD 417 last year.
