Tickets go on sale this weekend for the Symphony in the Flint Hills, and the organization says a well-known musician will be the guest vocalist.
Katharine McPhee, the runner-up for American Idol’s fifth season, will perform with the Kansas City Symphony at the Evans Family Red Ranch in Greenwood County on June 8. Since McPhee burst onto the music scene in 2006, she has performed concerts around the world and appeared on television shows, films and Broadway performances.
Tickets for the 19th annual event are $95 plus taxes and fees for adults and $50 plus taxes and fees for children ages 12 and under. Tickets include the signature concert and numerous activities leading up to the main event, including covered wagon rides, guided prairie walks, history and art experiences.
