Wednesday has two cases of note set for hearings in Lyon County District Court.
Reginald McFarland has a preliminary hearing at 9 am. He’s charged with distributing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine, as well as possessing marijuana and paraphernalia, after an alleged incident last month.
Meanwhile, Dominik Simunovic has a motions hearing at 1:15 pm. The former Emporia State tennis player is facing single counts of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy. Both counts have alternates alleging the victim was incapable of giving consent due to the presence of alcohol, drugs or other substances. Charges followed an alleged incident this past October.
