Kansas head football coach Lance Leipold is getting a big raise in Lawrence next season. Leipold’s new deal will pay him over $7 million per year. The contract does not add any new years to the deal but is a raise over the $5 million he was set to receive annually on his previous contract. Athletic director Travis Goff talked about the momentum around the school that’s started with the football program.
For his part, Leipold says that he’s been saying he wants to stay all along.
Leipold is 17-21 in three years with the Jayhawks and is 15-11 over the past two years with two bowl appearances while appearing in the Top 25 both seasons.
