Purchases and closure requests were among the various items to come before Lyon County Commissioners for approval Thursday morning.
Among the list of items was an invoice from Lyon County Clerk Tammy Vopat for $7,1000 from the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office for ELVIS user fees. Commissioners also received a handful of requests from Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods including:
* A purchase request for 15 iPads and 14 smartphones from Verizon totaling $5,900.
*A request for bids for washed SM-K cover material for the 2024 sealing project.
*Closing Locust Street (Road 240) In Americus from Main Street to Fifth for the Flint Hills Gravel Ride event from April 12 through April 13th.
*Closing Locust Street (Road 240) In Americus from Main Street to Fifth for the 2024 Unbound Gravel event Saturday, June 1 from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Jean Barnett, County Information Technology Director, submitted two quotes for equipment from CDWG totaling more than $5,200 and data migrations to a new server from Computer Information Concepts totaling more than $4,300. All requests were approved unanimously.
Assistant County Engineer Jim Brull was also approved to attend the Coalition Against Bigger Trucks and attend related meetings on Capitol Hill from March 18th through the 21st.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for its regular action meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
