A Jefferson County woman is in custody in Osage County following a traffic stop in Carbondale Friday afternoon.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a deputy conducted the stop at South Topeka Avenue and Center Street at 2:50 pm for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were reportedly located in the vehicle driven by 55-year-old Tamrha K. Fields of Ozawkie.
Ozawkie was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, driving while a habitual violator, flee and elude and having no liability insurance. Formal charges are currently pending.
