The Emporia State University International Food Festival was well-attended Sunday.
In fact, there was a line from inside the Memorial Union Webb Hall down to the main floor for much of the event.
Among the countries represented was Turkey. Graduate student Elif Sena Aktas brought kebabs and baklava. She says it was important for her to represent her country through food.
Kyamak Clarke was at the Bahamas table with pineapple upside-down cake and dumpling soup. She says her participation was designed to let people here know more about her home.
Students from over 20 countries prepared dishes representing their native countries. Besides the food, people could enjoy art, jewelry and a clothing show.
