Kansas AAA Manager of Public and Government Affairs Shawn Steward tells KVOE News gas prices typically start climbing this time of year.
Other potential factors, such as unrest in the Middle East, do not appear to be playing into this current rise in prices.
Areawide, the average gas price ranges from $3.09 a gallon in Greenwood County to $3.19 in Chase County. Across Kansas, gas prices have gone up 21 cents over the past week and 35 cents over a month ago.
