The Lyndon boys basketball team moved to 25-0 and will play for the program’s first state championship after defeating Sacred Heart 63-56 on Friday at the 2A boys state tournament at United Wireless Arena in Dodge City. The Tigers face defending champion Moundridge for the title Saturday at 6:15 p.m. It is the second title game appearance for the Tigers and the ninth for Moundridge. Moundridge is seeking their eighth state championship. The Tigers shot 56% from the field and outrebounded Sacred Heart 26-21 outscoring the Knights 20-14 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Daxten Miller led the Tigers with 19 points while Tanner Heckel added 16.
