The Emporia State women’s tennis team picked up a sweep of DI foe Providence yesterday in Casselberry, Fla. ESU started the duel with wins in two of three doubles matches with Lilie Bizourne and Paige Stranghoner winning at #2 doubles and Perla Conde and Sheridan Wichman clinching the doubles point in the #3 match. ESU swept singles against their Big East foe with four Lady Hornets winning in straight sets including Conde at #1, Giovanna Ferreira at #2, Bizourne at #3, and Wichman at #5. Stranghoner won position #4 in three sets and the Tigers defaulted at #6 against Andrea Santiago down a set. The Lady Hornets return to action today facing Lafayette College.
