Home sales in Emporia sold quickly last month, but fewer sold versus last year.
Sunflower Association of Realtors says homes sold within five days of listing on average last month, continuing a now-longstanding trend of sales within 10 days or less of listing.
Eighteen homes sold in February, down from the 25 sold in February 2023. There is currently one month’s worth of supply, up slightly from the past two years.
For the first two months of the year, Emporia has had 29 home sales, down from 40 last year and 52 in 2022.
Lyon County had similar trends. Home sales dipped from 19 in Februrary 2023 to 14 last month, but homes sold within four days of listing on average. February ended with 0.80 month’s worth of supply on the market.
Year-to-date, Lyon County has had 24 home sales, down from 28 last year and 48 in 2022.
