Veterans in the community have an opportunity to get more information about easy access to telehealth next week.
The Emporia American Legion Post 5 will be hosting a Project Atlas Open House from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on March 27.
On KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 Segment on Tuesday, Post 5 Commander Clay Childs says having this open house will help connect veterans with telehealth services. Childs says there’s also a perk for veterans before the open house starts.
Childs says these services being offered locally aren’t being utilized as much as first thought. Childs says they’ve gone to the extent of reaching out to Veterans knowing they can get these services closer to home rather than driving over an hour or more away.
