The inaugural Adam Tebben 3-on-3 basketball tournament is set for Saturday at the Emporia State University Student Rec Center.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with games beginning at 10 a.m. The cost is $35 per team.
On KVOE’s Newsmaker Segment Thursday, organizer Brandon Wolter says Tebben made an impact whether if it was when he was in high school at Chase County or even as a college student at Emporia State University.
Wolter says doing a basketball fundraiser would be something Tebben would be proud of doing with his love of sports.
Tebben and two other Air Evacuation Lifeteam crew members were killed after their helicopter crashed near Weatherford, Oklahoma in January.
Funds will benefit the Adam Tebben’s Memoria Scholarship Fund for Nursing at Emporia State. To register before Saturday, contact Wolter at (815) 219-1140.
