Area residents love their Beatles music, and that was clear from the near-sellout turnout at Saturday’s Liverpool Legends concert at the Emporia Granada Theatre.
It was Hank Osterhout’s first concert as interim theater director after spending time recently as production manager and board member — and after former director Stacey Schneider took a different role at the Granada so she could spend more time with family. One of his big focal points is to have a more active schedule with a wider range of artists, but he also wants to see the theater more full for those musicians.
Up next for the Granada — at least for now — is the Latin American Afro beat fusion band Making Movies! on May 11.
