With summer not far away, the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas is opening up registration for its summer program.
Registration will be opening up on bgcsck.org next week. The cost is $350 per month for the summer program.
On KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment Monday, Boys and Girls Club Area Director Whitney Johnson says they’re currently trying to build that engagement for the community.
Unit Director at William Allen White Elementary School Andre Maupin says children are buying into what the Boys and Girls Club offers after a traditional school day. Maupin says staffing has also increased since they started the after-school program last year.
