Emporia Fire and Kansas Gas collaborated to handle a gas leak in west Emporia on Wednesday evening.
The leak in the 1200 block of Sunnyslope was reported just before 7 pm. Emporia Fire Capt. Michael Nunley says the leak was discovered outside a house, which was evacuated. Kansas Gas then arrived and fixed the leak.
No injuries were reported.
